If you are looking for a special gift that will be truly appreciated, consider pampering aromatherapy gifts. Aromatherapy has become very popular as we become busier and look for things that make the small amount of time we have to ourselves special. If I have had a particularly stressful day, I like to turn on a warm bath in the jet tub and dump in a handful of aromatherapy salts to help me to escape into relaxation. Lavender is my all time favorite, and is used in lots of different products like bath salts, bath oil, shower gel, body scrub, lotion, and body spray. There are tons of unique refreshing or relaxing aromatic scents to choose from; just try a different one each time and experience all of them!
Bath and Body Works and Victoria’s Secret has a great selection of aromatherapy gifts that are conveniently packaged in practical gift sets and baskets. You can visit your local store, or you can shop online. You can mix and match your own gift basket for an added personal touch, or select from one of the many aromatherapy gifts that are packaged attractively and affordably priced. Even if you are not sure what the person’s personal fragrance preferences are, consider what type of person they are, what type of life style they have, etc. There are aromatherapy gifts for every individual need and pleasure. There’s not one woman I know who doesn’t enjoy a little pampering every now and then, and they may not always take the time or spend the money to do it. If you make the selection, all they have to do is enjoy it. Even if you are selecting a gift for a seasoned veteran, who is knowledgeable in the ways of aromatherapy, you can select an aromatherapy gift or new fragrance or product that they have yet to try. And while you’re at it, why don’t you pick something out for yourself too? You deserve it, you know you do.
If you choose to shop online, check out the retail sites that specialize only in aromatherapy gifts, essential oils, burners, candles, bath and spa treatments, and aromatherapy accessories. Information is provided regarding what types of properties certain herbs have, and what works best for specific needs, such as stress reduction, promoting sleep, increasing energy levels, or just making you feel better. Many sites offer express shipping to the recipient of your aromatherapy gift selection, and include a personal message from you. They won’t be disappointed, and they’ll be thinking of you as they reap the benefits of aromatherapy because of your great taste in gifts.

bachelorette gifts
My sister is getting married a little later this year, and as her sister I have lots of planning to do. One of the big events will be a bachelorette party along with bachelorette gifts. We'll probably have a little shindig at my house, followed by some sort of gallavanting thereafter. I have a feeling her bachelorette gifts will lean towards the naughty and the risque to make her good and embarrassed and put on the spot in a way only a sister can orchestrate.
Some ideas for bachelorette gifts that we will likely bestow upon her include: all sorts of jellies and powders and creams and sprays to enhance her love life, teeny tiny items of material that resemble dental floss and yet are meant for wearing, and of course some heftier items including a lightweight whip, and maybe a pair of handcuffs for good measure. Most of these bachelorette gifts will be meant as pranks and jokes, however, I'm sure she will also receive some valuable items including lingerie, bath items and possibly some actual items that the happy couple can enjoy together.
I've had to buy bachelorette gifts in the past. One of the funniest bachelorette gifts I ever purchased was a cardboard carton called 'Make-out Take-out' which contained a variety of naughty toys and gags. The actual carton was similar to the old-style Chinese food cartons, and it really made for a novel bachelorette gift.
I doubt we will include strippers in our evening. The bachelorette gifts will be naughty and good for a laugh, but none of us are likely to go so far as to create a potential problem for the couple. Marriage is pretty serious business - it's okay to lighten things up a bit - but we're of the opinion that including strippers (even as a joke) is going too far and it undermines the seriousness of marriage.
Even still, we love a good joke, and I quite look forward to terrorizing my sister will all manner crazy, risque and off-the-wall bachelorette gifts. After all, she is my sister and part of my job is to embarrass her and get her laughing. We have many close friends who will also be dying to get in on the action. I have no doubt that the bachelorette gifts that they purchase will be right out-on-a-limb and we will have an evening full of laughter, embarrassment and fun. My sister is nearly 29 and she has waited a long time to find just the right guy to marry. We are all very relieved that the big day if coming up quickly. This should be a bachelorette party and a pile of bachelorette gifts to remember for a good long while!

Become a Secret Shopper
You may have seen the advertisements in your Yahoo mailbox telling you that you can make a lot of money if you become a secret shopper. These have also popped up in spam emails. There is such a thing as a secret shopper, but these particular ads are not the real thing. You will be hard pressed to find a secret shopper that has made a lot of money doing it. Some make a decent living, but it is a lot of hard work, and they have to earn every cent. With commissions slowly going down, this is getting harder and harder to do.
There are many legitimate secret shopper companies, and you will rarely see ads for the real thing begging you to become a secret shopper. Most of these companies have more shoppers than they need, so they don’t need to advertise. If you really want to become a secret shopper, you have to do your homework. You have to find the legitimate companies and sign up. If you live in a small town or smaller city, don’t expect to find a lot of work in your area. In order to become a secret shopper that has a busy schedule, you have sign up for many companies. This might mean spending weeks on your computer filling out applications for hundreds of companies. You then have to wait to be approved.
When you become a secret shopper, you have to then search for work on a daily basis. Some companies may email you offers if they are in need of someone in your area, but for the most part, you have to search each particular site on a regular basis to find jobs. The jobs are so in-demand that your timing has to be just right or the jobs are swept out from beneath you. Be prepared to have long lists of website addresses and passwords if you become a secret shopper. It is very easy to get your information mixed up, so you have to be organized. If you are not organized, you will quickly find yourself in big trouble.
What most people don’t know when they decide to become a secret shopper is how bad the pay can be. The longer you do mystery shopping, the more money you can make, but when you start out, you will be lucky to get three or four dollars for three hours of work. One common job is going to a gas station for a purchase. You must drive there and back, on your own dime, and buy something. You must then come home and fill out a report. This report is often long and detailed. You may get reimbursed for your purchase but the rest comes out of your pocket. You may then get three dollars for your effort.
The choice to become a secret shopper is, of course, your own. Just remember that those who say you will be rich doing it are sadly mistaken or trying to scam you. You must work for your money, and many times, you are not buying products you want. If your job says you go buy duct tape that is what you buy.

Baby Gift Baskets
Good friends of ours just had their first baby - an adorable baby girl named Madison Lee. We have been talking about what to buy them as a gift. We have had so many ideas, but finally settled on a baby gift basket.
Baby gift baskets can be purchases pre-assembled. However, we have decided to collect and assemble our gift basket on our own. We will purchase a large basket with a sturdy handle at a local craft shop along with cellophane (preferably in pink or printed with a baby motif). As well, we will pick up some ribbons, tissue paper, possibly a pre-inflated foil balloon with congratulations message, and of course an appropriate card.
Then we will begin gathering items to put into our baby gift basket. Some items we will look for are good quality baby shoes with decent support, a couple of choices from the Baby Einstein line of products and a fashionable hat, mitts and scarf set. Then we will choose more generic items to fill up our baby gift basket. These choices will likely include liquid baby powder (real baby powder can affect baby's breathing), a baby-safe stuffed toy, something to help mommy relax (bath salts or similar aromatherapy products), an assortment of baby care products and last but not least, a gift certificate for a local restaurant so that both parents can enjoy an evening away from the hectic demands of parenthood.
Baby gift baskets are an especially good choice for people living a great distance away (like us). As long as items are non-breakable, these gift baskets can be safely shipped and are a great way to send best wishes and practical gifts to new parents and babies.
In the past, when we had our children, we were fortunate to receive several baby gift baskets. It's a lot of fun to get and give an assortment of gifts and it's a good way to make sure to include everyone in the family. It's especially good to remember any other little brothers or sisters in the family, who may feel somewhat left out by all the fuss over the new baby. Including a special gift or two for the other children is a wonderful gesture of care and makes things go that much more smoothly while welcoming the new little one to the family. Good choices to include in your baby gift basket, for the other children will likely include toys and games that they are able to operate on their own. So it's very important to be conscious of their ages, since buying a toy or game beyond their age range will require adult assistance and likely result in disappointment for the children, rather than the intended distraction.
Indeed, buying or assembling a baby gift basket is a great way to personalize your gift. The extra time it may take to make your gift just right will definitely be appreciated by the new parents and the practicality of the gift will make their job that much easier.

a special gift
It seems like no matter what the occasion it is often times difficult to find a special gift for the people that you are closest to. I have spent many hours looking for gifts for loved ones. Whether it is for Christmas or birthdays it seems that the quest for the perfect gift is often very time consuming for me.
One day I was shopping for myself and came across a special gift for my sister. She is allergic to metal so is very limited in what jewelry she can wear. I found a bracelet that was made of glass beads. It was two strands wide and was stretchy, so there was no metal clasp. I knew this bracelet would make a great gift for my sister because the colors complimented several of her outfits.
During another shopping trip I found a special gift for my godchild. She has always liked things in a heart shape. I found glass shaped hearts in a variety of colors and sizes. The store also had a clear glass heart shaped bowl. I purchased several of the hearts and the bowl. This will be a great house warming present.
I realized that I had better luck finding a special gift when I wasn’t looking for one. I decided that when ever I am out shopping I am going to look at items that would make a nice present. By doing this the shopping is much more relaxed. It is also a good way of saving money because when you shop year round for a special gift you can often times buy things that are on sale. Even if the item is not on sale, by buying things through the year I do not have such a huge bill around the holiday time.
If you are going to try this I will make a couple of suggestions to make purchasing gifts ahead of time easier. One thing is to make a list of the people that you ordinarily buy for. The list should be small enough to carry in your wallet, so that you always have it with you. That way when you find a special gift for someone on your list you can cross their name off. At the holiday or birthday time you can then check how many gifts you still need to purchase. Another tip to help with buying gifts early is to place all of your purchases in a central location. This way you will know where to find the present at the time you need it. I ended up buying more than one special gift for the same person because I could not remember where I stored the first one.
If you are organized in the way you make your purchases you can save money and time by shopping for presents throughout the year. This will help the holiday season seem more pleasant, and gift giving more fun.
